This Proverb can be titled "Avoiding the Perils of Adultery (nkjv)." It is culturally instructive to the young male of that day. But it can be applied and adapted more broadly than just gender behavior and conduct. It is replete with warnings about unrestrained human passion. Sadly, the world today is far removed from adhering to the weight of wisdom. The cost of immoral activity remains severe still today.
