This psalm begins the sections read following the Passover meal continuing the celebration of God's deliverance of Israel from Egypt.

v.1

This psalm is another part of the Passover readings celebrating Israel's deliverance from Egypt. It is recited together with Psalm 113 before the Seder meal. It speaks of the power of God in this nation's deliverance.

Here the psalmist speaks of the majesty and condescension of God.
Even today, Psalm 113 and 114 are often recited before the P_______________ celebration meal called a S__________.
