In this chapter we learn both how to find wisdom and how to use wisdom when we have it. Regarding God's wisdom, the believer must closely attend to the Word, be convinced it is the standard, readily receive it, retain it as a discoverable treasure, embrace all study opportunities and apply our hearts to its instruction.

Introduction to Proverbs
Proverbs is an early Jewish and later Christian (O.T.) book on how a devoted believer can live discreetly in this world.  Defined as biblical and rational wisdom, primarily credited to Solomon, the Proverbs address the questions of values, moral behavior, meaning of human life and right relational conduct. The underlying assumption is Proverbs 1:7.
