The Strength & Wisdom of a Mother
Mrs. Lois Morton (Mother)
Known as Mother Morton, Mrs. Lois Morton has been a source of inspiration to all with whom she comes in contact. As Discovery's eldest member, she has earned the title "Mother of the Church!" Being known for her witty nature and her ability to "tell it like it is," she has lived up to that title! After having spent over 80 years of her life as a member of a local mainstream church, she along with several others, decided to heed the call of the Lord and start a new work. At the age of 84 she decided to step out on faith. Her decision to leave what was familiar and comfortable at a time in life when most people are seeking comfort and familiarity, has been a great encouragement to the pastor and members of Discovery Christian Church.
Though she went through many trials and tests in her life she remained faithful.
Proverbs 31:28-29 says:
"Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all."
We remember mother and we thank God for your life.
